UAE luxury group opens flagship distribution centre in Saudi logistics zone
UAE-based luxury retail distribution company Chalhoub Group has secured a licence to operate an operations centre in Saudi Arabia's first Special Integrated Logistics Zone (SILZ), a permit that paves the way for the luxury goods company to sign a 50-year lease agreement with Riyadh's Special Integrated Logistics Zone (SILZ) for its flagship facility, which is looking to shorten delivery times and enhance last-mile deployment.

The move is in line with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and the National Aviation Strategy to boost the sector's development and growth, and it is also in line with the goal of upgrading the sector's role in supporting domestic products and boosting the national economy in line with the direction of Vision 2030, said the CEO of Chalhoub Group. As Riyadh continues to grow in size and ambition, the launch of the new distribution centre in the Special Integrated Logistics Zone reflects our commitment to develop and strengthen our business to meet the growing volume of customer demand, and the new distribution centre will be designed and built using sustainable building materials and renewable energy.
